Clint Eastwood: Gran Torino: "Get off my lawn!" Circa: 2009.
I don't care if y'all wanna protest and yell about our voting system being unfair for the 2016 presidential election -- you know, the same voting system that put Barack Obama in the presidential office, of which, you had no problems with eight years ago...and, now, you've gotta problem with it because that very same voting system that put Barack Obama in office kept YOUR presidential candidate out of office, on 08-November 2016.
Hell, I don't care...that's your right -- protest and argue all you want -- America was built on protesting and arguments -- without protestors, we would still be under England -- ick!
I am a reasonable prudent person; hence, I accepted Barack Obama as the president of the United States; and, I did not protest his win, of which, he won fair and square even though I did not vote for him.
Now, I don't expect you to be reasonable nor prudent as you emotionally protest against President-elect Donald J. Trump -- you're expressing your liberty of free speech, and there ain't nothin' wrong with that; but, for now, until laws change, notwithstanding your right to protest, it's illegal to cause harm to people and damage property while protesting. So, remember that when you start burning stuff, bashing out car windows, and injuring those expressing other points of view that are the opposite and against your own points of view.
Be careful out there while you are protesting and behaving in a malfeasant manner...you never know whom you will come across as you travel towards assaulting and or battering a person who is out on the street minding his or her own business and not wanting to engage with you, your ideologies on the world, nor your political protests.
He or she may NOT resort to calling the NYPD when protecting himself or herself from your initiated assault and battery, driven by your dissatisfaction by our voting system,...NO -- he or she MAY resort to exercising his or her Second Amendment Rights of self-protection,...and YOU might end up wishing he or she did call the NYPD as you lay on the ground with a knife wound to your neck, a punch to your face, or a bullet in your gut.
So, go ahead and protest; go ahead and talk poorly about America; go ahead and be angry by the fact President-elect Donald J. Trump isn't YOUR president.
While you're protesting and becoming legends in your own minds and reveling with all your Instagram followers liking the pictures of you burning stuff, smashing out windows to peoples' cars, trash-talking the men and women who serve in US military and fought for your rights so YOU can protest,..."Get off my lawn!"
